Back at the centre Uwan will be encouraged to take part in activities such as walking calmly on the lead in an assortment of environments( make us proud Uwan), pushing and pulling ‘games’, and settle into life in the kennels. At the end of this period he will be assessed and pass on to a further 6 weeks of more formal training( make us even more proud Uwan). This will include walking beside a manual wheelchair, pushing light switches and footplates, and pulling off some articles of clothing.Uwan has now finished his puppy socialising period and has gone back into the centre for formal training. Uwan had an excellent first year and went to a wide variety of places with his trainer, where he met with numerous people and gained valuable social experience.
