Community

It is central to our mission and values that we have a place at the heart of the local communities where we work.

Sponsorship

We are sponsoring  Broadway Wanderers. This is a grassroots, diverse football team.

Andy (Coach) started the team to get the kids out and away from electronic devices and to build strength and resilience. They have trained and participated in friendly matches weekly on Monday evenings to prepare for the season. They were severely defeated at times but remained strong, happy, and positive.

The club relies on support and sponsorship, so the team, coaches, and family who stand at the side of the pitch in the freezing cold were all overwhelmed by the support from AKA Case Management, which enabled them to purchase the winter kits.

Team Challenge

Our team members love a challenge and share our passion to support charities and good causes. They love rising to challenges in work – and in their free time, too.

Team Hikes

We did a sponsored walk to raise funds for Nottingham Hospitals Charity. Staff who came on the day included Demi, Mandy, Liz, Sarah L, Elaine, Claire and most of her family, including two babies and two dogs. Some of our clients also attended and really enjoyed the day. We also went on a hike in September that year, which was much more challenging but great for team bonding.

Other fundraising events

Andrew (Director) and Dominic (Operations & Finance Officer) participated in a fire walk to raise funds for Brain Tumour Research. You can see them in action here!

Paediatric clinical case manager Mary Gilman organises her own trips volunteering around the world, mostly working with children and their extended families. She also volunteers for a children’s charity for vulnerable children and teenagers.

Clinical case manager Nick Snowden cycled 170 miles across the country from Morecambe to Bridlington in aid of the Motor Neurone Disease Association.
