Support Worker (Worcester)

Job Title: x 1 Support Workers

Salary: £15.00 per hour

Hours: Part time flexible hours 3-4hrs per week (1 day a week usually on a Wednesday but flexible to work Monday-Friday to cover for annual leave/sickness of second support worker)   

Person specification/skills: We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, and reliable individual, who has a positive outlook to work with our male client in Worcester. We particularly welcome applicants with experience in brain injury, rehabilitation, and experience of managing challenging behaviour/frustration.  A car driver is essential.

You will be working with our 35year old male client to enable independent living, (no personal care). His hobbies and interests include- football, gaming and cooking.

Role/Responsibilities: 

  • Aiding where needed with admin tasks/domestic support
  • Assisting with activities of daily living
  • Accompanying client to social events
  • Support with medical appointments
  • Support with care of puppy 16weeks (bathing) English Bull Terrier
  • Liaison with case management team
  • Record keeping
  • Building a rapport with the client

Support Worker (Uckfield, Sussex)

Social Rate – (6am-6pm) £11.53

Unsocial Rate – (6pm-11pm) £13.10

Night Rate – (11pm-6am) £10.28

Hours: part time/variable hours to cover for periods of staff leave and sickness. A seven-day rota which may include sleepovers.

We are looking for a bright, enthusiastic, reliable individual who has a positive outlook to working within an established team of support staff. They will be required to support our client in his home and within the Uckfield area. You will be working with our 62-year-old client who enjoys tennis, jewellery making, golf, art, history and visiting places of interest. The role will include supporting our client to visit family in London and attending family events when required. You will form part of a friendly, experienced team who aim to provide our client with a full and enjoyable life following an accident.

DUTIES:

Your duties will include:

  • Assisting with activities of daily living
  • Accompanying to social events/activities
  • Communicating with family and the wider support team.
  • Promoting access to a healthy lifestyle.
  • Supporting to attend necessary medical appointments

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

Qualifications:  NVQ level 2 preferred, but not essential.

Experience: We particularly welcome applications from people with experience in care.

Salary: Weekday hours: £14 per hour, weekend hours: £16 per hour

Hours: part time /variable hours/weekend and evenings/sleepovers

We are looking for a bright, enthusiastic, reliable individual, who has a positive outlook, to work within our team. They will be required to support our client in his home within the Northamptonshire area. You will be working with our 13-year-old client who enjoys being busy, active, and trying new activities. The role offers a friendly and fully adapted, working environment, supportive team, and generous rates of pay.

Term time:

Mondays: 14:30 – 20:00 (5.5 hrs)

Fridays: 15:00 – 18:00 (3 hrs)

School Holidays:

Monday: 16:00 – 21:00 (5 hrs)

Wednesday: 14:30 – 21:00 (6.5 hrs)

Thursday: 16:00 – 21:00 (5 hrs)

Friday: 08:00 – 18:00 (10 hrs)

All year round:

Alternate weekends: from Saturday 16:30 to Sunday 14:00 (including sleeping night)

The above hours are flexible, and we would consider job share for candidates seeking less hours. Additional hours are available to cover staff holidays/sickness.

DUTIES:

Your duties will include:

  • Providing personal care for the client
  • Enabling the client to make the most of his independence in all tasks
  • Initiating a range of fun and stimulating activities and supporting him with activities
  • Finding suitable local activities and planning trips out
  • Providing therapeutic activities, such as those recommended by physiotherapist to develop skills
  • Helping client develop his skills, such as expanding his vocabulary
  • Liaising with support team and family

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

Experience: We particularly welcome applications from people with experience in care, therapy or education

Skills: Able to provide high standard of personal care, proactive, good communicator, able to work on own initiative, organised and reliable
