We would like to say a big thank you to Ian Major from the forestry commission for welcoming AKA back to Sherwood Forest for a chance to meet the Sherwood Forest Giants.
The giants are magnificent old oak trees some of which date back to the time when Robin Hood and his merry men roamed the forest. We are sure if trees could talk these old fellas would have a lot to say. Our very wet but extremely enjoyable tour ended at the granddaddy of them all, the legendary Major Oak. Ian and his colleagues regularly do the “Walking with Giants tour” So if you would like to take part in the trail let us know and we will send you an information booklet and map.
