Linsey Jamieson

Case Manager

Linsey qualified as a secondary school teacher and spent all 7 years of her teaching career working at National Star College in Cheltenham, a national provider of post 16 specialist education, therapy and life skills for young adults, with complex disabilities from across the UK. Linsey worked as a Personalised Learning Co-ordinator, teaching Life Skills, co-ordinating the multi-disciplinary teams for students and liaising with students, carers, families, therapists, tutors, social workers and other involved professionals, to achieve the best outcomes based on students aspirations and future goals.

In 2016 Linsey moved into Case Management and she was thrilled to join AKA in February 2021. Linsey primarily works with children and young adults who have sustained brain injuries. She is experienced in all aspects of Case Management but is particularly experienced in getting Education, Health and Care Plans for clients, enabling them to access an appropriate level of classroom support and supporting families to find the right school or college setting.

Outside of Case Management Linsey enjoys rowing, playing tennis, travelling and cooking, she has also recently started volunteering as a Family Court Magistrate!

We asked Linsey a few questions to get to know her better…

  1. What 3 items would you take on a desert island?

I think that books, a hammock and a canoe would keep me occupied

  1. If you could have one superpower, what would it be and why?

Being able to fly, unlimited travel opportunities and an amazing view!

  1. Who would play you in a film about your life?

I think I’d like it to be a Pixar animation ☺
