We love receiving updates on the Broadway Bears. We sponsored them again this season and are super proud to hear they have done so well again. This article was written by Elaine Ricketts, one of our Case Managers and the grandmother of one of the boys in the team.
As the season has come to an end, we wanted to say a HUGE thank you to AKA for sponsoring the Bears for yet another season we feel so honoured that you have supported and backed us as a Team and allowed us to continue to thrive in grassroots football.
Grassroots Football is more than just children kicking a ball around a field. It is building a safe space for our children to thrive, learn new skills, make new friends, learn about different cultures, and always have people believe in them. It also gets them out of the house and away from their electronics.
The Bears played some fantastic football and came away with well-deserved wins, draws, and a few losses, where we could see that improvements needed to be made.
Without you, this wouldn’t have been possible.
Whilst the season has come to an end, with the boys receiving their medals for completing the season, the Bears have many fantastic opportunities coming up, including a Tournament on 8th June playing on Wolves Molineux Pitch and another tournament on 21st June organised by the Broadway Bears Club. There will also be many friendlies to keep us in shape for when the next season starts.
